Alma Talking Circles

Creating spaces for genuine connection between women is one of the things we do best!

Talking circles are held to speak about a variety of issues that impact women and girls. We create events that go beyond networking and learning to tap into what connects us all – our humanity, our vulnerabilities and our power!

Would you like to host an event that keeps people talking? We can plan an event for you too! Your guests will be raving about the experience and asking for more!

make a scene

Being a “nice” girl is the enemy of our success when it shows up as people pleasing or “keeping the peace.” But we can make a scene in our lives that gets positive attention and starts movements! Kara Valentine is living proof that pursuing our passions, following the voice that tells us the difference we were made to create in the world can become our deepest, most meaningful work.

WOMEN WHO ROCK

Women Who Rock started as a happy hour gathering, arranged when the “Business Hall of Fame” list came out and there wasn’t one single woman on the list. This was 2004! Our founder, Lisa, had to do something about that, so she started a conversation about promoting each other’s achievements and it evolved into so much more.
It’s been a hard time of disconnection, but it’s time to decide what we want to burn to the ground and what we want to ignite in our lives. There is no better way to celebrate new beginnings, next steps and brave declarations than in the company of powerful women who will amplify your message, cheer you on and find the most incredible ways to walk beside you.

global sisterhood experience

Please join us for a multi-generational conversation about what it means to form friendships across cultures and support women globally by learning about their struggles and their triumphs. Seeing our lives through the lens of a global citizen opens us up to new experiences and a purpose-filled life.

Sarah Davison-Tracy: Whether traveling the globe or nestled in the backyard of her home in Colorado with her renaissance-man of a husband and two beloved children, Sarah Davison-Tracy is an impassioned human rights advocate, author, speaker, and founder of Seeds of Exchange and Rooted and Beloved.

Fatouma Ahmed: Born in Ethiopia, Fatouma is an American citizen, activist and storyteller, a devout and impassioned Muslim, a mother, wife, aunt, and beloved friend to many. She’ll share an intimate glimpse of several “chapters” of her life – when she was a twelve-year-old child bride, what life was like both in a refugee camp in Africa, her terrifying (and hilarious!) first experience on an airplane, being a Muslim in America post-9-11 , and her new chapter of love and marriage.
