ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Karen has been at The Colorado Health Foundation since September 2015 as the president and CEO. Karen helps guide the Foundation to determine the most impactful investment of human, financial and influence capital on behalf of the Coloradans who need it the most. Karen joined the Foundation after serving for more than 10 years as the president of the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, one of North Carolina’s largest private foundations. Before joining the Trust, Karen spent 16 years with the Center for Creative Leadership, an international leadership development and research nonprofit organization headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina. At home, Karen cultivates a balanced, healthy life that includes her husband and two children, a minor shoe obsession and – on a beautiful Colorado day – a good book and a glass of wine outside on her deck.
ABOUT THE SERIES
The Powerful Voices Conversation Series will feature speakers who will touch your heart with their inspirational stories of success. There is no formula, no rules, no division of career or personal life stories, because after all, we gain power and inspiration from all places. All speakers share their stories about how they achieved success, their advice on how to be an effective leader, and some key advice or tips to succeed in business and life. Take time each quarter to refocus your energy and connect with your community of empowered, collaborative women who want nothing but to help you succeed.
